My baby has two enlarged lymph nodes on side only

Can anyone advise please? I took him to the gp today as he has had one behind he's ear since he was 4 weeks old that never went down (he had eczema on that side of he's face the gp said that would be the cause) he's now 6 months old

Anyway eczema has cleared but when bathing him last night I felt it behind he's ear but it's double in size and very hard. There is also one below it on he's neck on the same side. I'm so so worried. The nurse has told me to book a gp appointment as she needs to do the referral for an ultrasound for me but they can't give me one for another two weeks.

I feel sick to my stomach. Is an ultrasound going to pick up if it's anything bad? Should I ask for a same day emergency appointment for tomorrow to talk to a gp about this? I don't see how this can wait

Sorry just realised my last message is a bit confusing.

The nurse saw him checked them and told me she isn't able to do the referral so I need to book a gp telephone appointment to do it for me and she will write on the notes she has checked and seen them so I won't have to come back in.

They have no gp phone appointments for two weeks.

I’d just ask for an emergency appointment in the morning if you can. But I also wonder whether it could be teething related?
