Call from Gp Surgery the next day after scan and appointment made within 2 weeks?

Hi I had a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound yesterday at 12:00. I got a call from my Gp surgery at 8;30 asking me to go in to speak to somebody about my results on the 20th july. I said I couldn’t do that so she said it had to be 24th.

Im just wondering how urgent this is? I know its face to face and within two weeks so Ive convinced myself its serious but surely they would bring me in the next day if that was the case?

It sounds non-urgent to me.

I think they would have asked you to bring someone if it was very urgent

Yes it's a response, short notice and f2f, but they're also not fitting you in as a same day emergency or anything.

I would try not to worry. If the ultrasound's found something, you'll know soon enough.
And a lot of the time they are erring on the side of caution anyway and it - if anything- will turn out to be fine.
Good luck!

If your scan was the result of a 2ww referral, there is a time limit on how soon you should get results (28 days from date of referral). Could it be that?

I had a quick GP call back after a TV scan and it was a uterine polyp. Took a few months to sort out its removal but GPs like to get you referred to gynae asap.
