OMG, HELP... I have an appointment at the dentist!..

I posted about my bad toothache yesterday (and a few months ago but just rode it out until it stopped) and this morning I rang myt dentist and expected them to say theycan fit me in a couple of weeks but Im there today

in 40 mins!!

Im shitting it

My tooth is black!

Argh! Last time I went she told me to stop eating sweets - liek I was 5!!

Im gonna cry!

THEN takea deep breath and tell yourself you can do it
decide you are going to do it WHATEVER

I am sorry you are having to face this. All I can say to help is this: whatever they are going to do, it will be for the best. It doesn't sound as though you can go on as you are.

40 mins is good, imagine if you were torturing yourself about it for 2 weeks. This way it'll be over by lunchtime, you've got much less time to get worked up about it.

A molar at the back.

Its been BAD for ages, crumbled away and i kept filling it myself with putty from the chemist.

My other are OK, but this ones just dead I think!

I hate the dentist have panic attacks everytime I go but Have found a fab one that makes me feel very at ease, tho it did mean being treated privately rather then on NHS.

Be brave and get it sorted.

Hiya

Well I went and showed her and she said its infected and has an abcess (sp?) underneath.

She said i had 2 choices

1 - have it removed then and there or
2- have antibiotics for a week then have it removed.

She said its best to have antibiotics first to clear the area, helps prevent further infection after and she said the untreated absess can stop the local anestetic working!

So im on antibiotics and will go back monday to have it out!
