Transvaginal ULTRASOUND

I’ve just been to the doctors for painful sex and she’s referred me for a transvaginal scan and I’ll receive the appointment in the post.
does anyone know how long it typically takes to receive the letter? And how long the wait is to have the actual scan?

It took about 6 weeks for a standard tv ultrasound here but will vary across the country.

I was seen about three weeks after referral and was quite surprised at how quick i heard from the hospital. Saying that the appointment was on a Saturday so assume that was because of the general backlog post-COVID.

I was referred for one on Monday, received my appointment letter yesterday. Appointment is next week.

Scan is for pain and hardening in abdomen, not sure if it's been rushed through cos of the hardening 🤷🏻‍♀️

The appointment came by phone. I was phoned within a few days and the appointment was within two weeks. They suspected cancer.

I had my appointment with 3 weeks. Wasn't painful but uncomfortable. Felt like the sonographer was playing Tetrus with an old fashioned joy stick.

Not as bad as a smear, and she said I’d just ovulated which was interesting.
