I've had a bad back since pregnancy, it got really bad, I wasn't given any advice, just that it was normal, it was wear and tear.
Once my baby was born, I left it for a few months, thinking it will get better with time, I'm healing. It didn't. I was referred for physio. Physio has been a long road, weve finally got to the point where they've said that I'm not as tense in my hips and buttocks, but they're concerned that there's something more going on with my back than they can help with.
I'm exercising, I'm doing physio exercises, I am losing weight, I am really trying with my back, but its not getting any better.

in the past few weeks with movements of my neck, up, down left to right, right to left, I keep getting these horrible crunches, in the area where my neck and skull kind of meet. This is happening multiple times a day.

For about the same time I've been struggling with my left foot, strangely I've had an intense burning sensation just below the knuckle area and maybe 3 inches down. it feels like such intense burning, i am always shocked that to the touch it isn't warm, there's no redness and no swelling. There are no marks from an injury or anything, no calluses, just pain. It stopped me from sleeping last night because I couldn't keep my foot from brushing the duvet, and today I got so aggravated I took my foot out of my shoe in hope that it would ease some of the discomfort. fwiw, my shoes fit perfectly fine, they don't rub, I've been wearing this particular style of shoe, brand and size for approximately 2 years.

I don't want to bother my GP if its just linked to my back problems, however I am starting to worry that these symptoms are both progression of the back problem.
Writing this, I've realised that my back has been bad for just shy of 2 years.

Have you tried an osteopath? That would be my next port of call. Make sure you find one that comes highly recommended.

I was going to suggest a chiropractor but I'm concerned that the Physio has no idea what it could be.

As a completely lay person, I'd guess there is some misalignment, probably in your neck vertebrae.

I'd go to the GP asap and get some tests done.
