Hi
Since I hit my late thirties I feel as though I have wound down.
I am always tired. and everything feels like too much effort.

I never feel quite right cannot put my finger on it but its a general feeling of malaise, no energy etc.

I was diagnosed with a underactive thyroid in Novemeber last year so maybe that has been the culprit.

Also feel sad and down alot.

Hi there, I completely understand where you are coming from.I also never feel quite right, and really have to push myself to get anything done.

My mother and sister have both been diagnosed with underactive thyroid so may be I should get tested too,but going to the doctor seems like a big effort

I have to run now as I'm going to work.I'm sorry you are feeling low and hope you find a way to make yourself feel better soon.

Take time to take care of yourself

Hi Worzil, I too am late thirties (well nearly 40) and I know what you mean. Part of mine is my own fault, I often go to bed too late - so much to do! The underactive thyroid won't have helped, do you take medication for that? My friend has the same problem and she had to have her meds adjusted.
I find what helps me is exercise - I've always liked cycling and although I can't do as much these days, I make sure I cycle to work 3 days pw (7 miles each way). Even in the rain!! Whenever I drive the traffic is bad so that puts me off!!
What also didn't help was when I lost a job on Jan after only 4 months - the company didn't like me as I wasn't as good as the 'bright young things' (I'm in IT) and I couldn't keep up!

yes. Feel like 'Is this it?' Every day the same, every day caring 24 hours for a disabled child and the future looking identical for ever and ever, Sheesh.
