Rosacea: what face wash and cleanser?

My skin has been bad for years now, red and pimply and looking very congested. It's got v itchy in the heatwave so I went to the doctor who has given me Rosex cream. I've been using it for one week and it's working quite well so far. I am just wondering what I should be using to wash and moisturise with? I currently use a salicylic acid clay foaming wash - will this aggravate my skin further?

I developed rosacea in my 40s, it cleared up eventually (I'm now 65).
Since then I have never used anything but water to wash my face. I use any cream that doesn't sting which is basically nivea or zerobase.

I use La Roche posay CICAPLAST LAVANT B5 SOOTHING WASH … it’s pretty much the only thing I can tolerate when my skin is bad. I stay far away from anything with acid cleansers.

Rosacea is a chronic condition which can be managed but not cured.
I've used Soolantra with great results and laser treatment in the winter months.
But if Rosex is working, that's great.
Simplicity is key regarding skincare. I use Toleraine cleanser by La Roche Posay. Loads of products in this range.
Usually just a splash of water in the morning and always always a high SPF. Anthelios from LRP is good, also really like Isdin which has an SPF100!
