Hi everyone - hoping someone can help.

My LO has been a bit under the weather this week. She had 2 exorcist style vom sessions, is eating but doesn't have a great appetite but most of all her poo has gone a strange pale colour that I can only describe as curry coloured scrambled egg. Oh and they SMELL! Otherwise she seems fine (her skin colour etc.), though I'd class her as 85% herself. She's sleeping ok despite not eating loads.

Is this just a bug (how lucky am I that this is first illness type thing she's had?)? I've asked the local GP to call me back because I made the mistake of looking online... bad idea.

Would be great if anyone could reassure/further frighten the life out of me, as appropriate

Hi this sounds like exactly the same as both my two boys have had. It's been 10 days of hell. Baby started off refusing food, vomiting all the time, nappies like you say the scrambled egg and it smells like vinegar (to me anyway). Toddler got it a couple of days later, luckily no vomiting though!

Even though I was being super careful, washing hands/ using an antbac spray, I managed to get it too. Diarrhea is awful, nausea and oh my god the bloating! I swear to god I looked like I was four months pregnant a few days ago.

Would say cut down / out any dairy products including milk, there was definately much less vomit and fewer nappies to change.

Good luck, sounds like you might be in for a rough ride!

Cyee, how long have you been spoonfeeding her?, could it be a new food introduced? does sound like a bug cos of vomiting ad I do remember that vinegar smelling poo too Lorraine!!!!!..would bring tears to your eyes. Think the colour and smeel of the poo are because food not being digested properly cause of the bug it is going through too quickly..could be wrong but in my own kids when they are like this the poo contains some undigested foods. Hope she is feeling better soon and you too.

Thank you both
Poo is still toxic though appetite a little bit better I think. I am hoping I haven't given her a complex with the gagging over her nasty nappies .
Thanks for taking the time to reply!
