Mitral Valve disease and pregnancy?

Has anyone here had a myxomatous mitral valve and been pregnant? I was diagnosed during pregnancy with that, mild regurgitation, LBBB and bouts of SVT. Booked in for a section in a few weeks and I'm honestly terrified in case my heart goes dodgy 😫😫

I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse when I was 10. Not sure if same thing as yours though. I have mild regurgitation, lots of palpitations and low heart rate.
I have had one CS , my other pregnancies were vaginal deliveries.
They will monitor you really carefully during your CS, you will be okay.

@DeerWatch Thank you for your reassurance ❤️

I believe mine is also mitral valve prolapse but it's called myxomatous because it's degenerative. Apparently not all MVP is. My regurgitation is also mild (was only diagnosed with all this in Feb) and I've been getting a lot of palpitations especially recently. Pregnancy had definitely made the palpitations worse. I've been in a&e a few times and the palpitations are what's called 'SVT'.

I'm glad to know your CS went okay. I've had one CS with my daughter but that was 8 years ago and I had a really smooth pregnancy with no issues.

My 24 hour monitor that I had in October picked up a couple of SVT but cardiologist said it was fine. I had a few long pauses especially at night that has concerned me more as heart rate went as low as 29. I was always on a 2/3 year echo scan check up appointment but although last one was 5 years ago I can not get one now due to NHS cutbacks. It has worried me as I have been told that my valve may get worse and need replacing as I get towards middle age.
Looks like I have no option but to save up and pay privately.
Are you drinking enough? I find my palpitations worse on days I don't.
