Any idea what these skin blemishes are?

I’ve just noticed these blemishes in my back. They’re not painful, raised or itchy. Just caught sight of them in the mirror but they’re new.

are they some sort of sun spots? Only have them in my upper back.

They look a bit like something I had years ago, which lasted ages and ages (yours looks browner than mine which were more red though). I eventually got rid of it by washing my body with head and shoulders- some sort of fungal skin thing! Not particularly glamorous, but it worked so quickly I was annoyed I hadn't tried it sooner!

Pityriasis versicolor I would say, you can get it from gyms, saunas etc. Treatment is ketoconazole shampoo.

As above- my DP has this. He uses Nizoral- lets it sit on his skin for 10mins then rinses it off. It comes back every now and then.

they are a type of sun-exposure-induced spot iirc

Thanks, I’ll look up those things mentioned.

I was out walking in the sun for about 4 hours although a T-shirt was fully covering my back but I was very hot. Not sure if that’s contributed to it
