What’s this weird white skin patch between my fingers?

Hi, has anyone ever had this before? I woke up this morning and my hand was really sore and my skin seems to be all white between my fingers! It’s incredibly sore if i put my fingers together or close my grip! Anyone had this before or know what it could be??

... although I don't think that would be sore.

I did see this but vitiligo is painless and the area around my white patch is quite sore

It looks a bit fungal to me...,

Get thee down the pharmacy in the morning.

I'd ring the GP instead and ask for a call.

Something like athletes' foot or possibly thrush.

I agree. Have you any Canesten cream? Slap some on. It might soothe and is unlikely to do any harm.

WashAsDelicates · 11/06/2023 19:40

Or athlete's foot cream if you don't have Canesten.

Poppins2016 · 11/06/2023 19:43

If it was your foot, I'd vote for athletes foot... I guess it's still a possibility that it's the same fungal infection but on your hand... (disclaimer, I'm not a healthcare professional).

I agree with the suggestions to see a pharmacist first thing tomorrow - they'll either give you something to treat it or tell you if you need to see a GP.

I agree it looks fungal. I have vitiligo myself and it definitely isn't that. Hope you manage to get it sorted.

Trying to get through to a GP surgery on a Monday morning is a futile exercise.
