DD2 has been unwell with a heavy cold for over q week. Took her to GP last week and her chest was clear. Since Thursday night she has had a high temp, was really miserable during the day yesterday. Temp went up to 104.4 F, was up and down all night with Calpol. She has just been sick after having her lunch and her temp is 101.5. How long should I leave it before ringing the doctor?
She's 8 mo BTW.

hope she is ok and you have called GP

she has perked up, temp has gone done a bit with calpol and nurofen. If it continues to go back up overnight and tomorrow then I'll ring the doc then.
Thanks Smile

DS also had a bad cold and high temps similar to your DD. After five days of no improvement I took him to the doctor's and was told he had a chest infection. As his temperature was fluctuating I was unsure whether to take him or not but am so glad I did. If she's not improving on Monday I would take her to check up. There's a lot of horrid stuff about at the moment.

Her temp went back up at bedtime. If she's still like that tomorrow I'll ring the emergency doc.
