this is the latest in various diagnoses for a horrible patch of red spots behind my DS's ear. he's six months old. it happened quite suddenly - started with a slight "crustiness" behind the ear which rapidly got worse and started oozing.
first diagnosis was extreme eczema. then they thought it might be shingles, but that has been quickly dismissed. now they're saying they're pretty sure it's impetigo. he's had five different presciptions in the last week alone, poor little man.
he's had it more than two weeks now and although it's much better it's still pretty bad and still not dried up in the bit right behind his ear.
Any shared experiences? what works?
he's got a cream and penicillin at the moment.
