dry skin/eczema just under my eye...

has anyone out there experienced anything like this. In the past I have had mild eczema and have always had very dry skin. But over the past few days the skin just udner my eye had become so dry and flaky, its making me look as though I have HUGE red bags under my eyes. I am moisturising like mad with my clinique eye cream and it helps a bit but not enough really.

does anyone have a good eye cream to suggest? I have a doctors appt to check it out but thats not until next week.

Oh yes carameli, I have had this several times and it has always turned out to be a make-up allergy. Mascara or eyeshadow, in fact I can't wear eyeshadow at all now as it always causes it. I didn't used to have a problem so I must have become allergic over time.

Take flax seed oil tablets twice and a day and crack the problem from the inside out.

what is in flax seed oil that will help it? I am certainly willing to try them.

I'm not sure why it works, it's just really good for eczema. I put it onto the skin as well, but I'm not sure if it would be too heavy for the eye area.

Keep tablets cold and in the dark.

A friend of mine had this and it turned out to be an allergy like SilentBite. However, in her case it was an allergy to a partic brand of nail polish and as soon as she stopped using it, it disappeared. The dermatologist said it was quite common because we tend to touch our faces a lot - and once it's started, we touch more often which in her case, made it worse.
