A lump in abdomen in the morning

Some mornings when I’ve woke up recently I’ve noticed a very hard, quite big, very obvious lump in my lower left abdomen (sort of in line with my hip bone). I can only feel it when I’m lay down.

However once I’ve stood up and been for a wee, if I try and find it again, it’s massively reduced in size and a lot harder to find and feels much further ‘back’ and not obvious at all.

I’m quite thin naturally and still have quite bad diastasis recti from being pregnant 3 years ago, so everything round there can feel pretty odd at times. Could this lump possibly just be an organ of some sort? Obviously will ring the GP on Monday but I’m just a little anxious. I’ve got no pain and no other symptoms to speak of.

poo?

It sounds like your bowel, with poo in it! Is it kind of sausage-shaped?
It's normal – you're probably more likely to be able to feel it if you're thin and also if you're a bit constipated.
The poo will gradually move along the bowel and the position of your bowel will also shift slightly when you're going from lying to standing.
No cause for alarm!
