Pain under ribs and back on the right side

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I've had pain under my right ribs and my back below my shoulder blade for a couple of months. It isn't constant pain but its sore when I've been lying down and then stand up, mornings tend to be worst getting out of bed. It's a sharp pain.

As a big sufferer of HA my thoughts have been spiralling to sinister causes. I'm going to make a Dr appointment next week.

Google has told me, along with all the sinister reasons, that it could be gallbladder. But I always thought that would be more like "attacks" rather than a pain I feel when I'm in a certain position.

Thanks Smile

Gallbladder problems present in different ways. Some people get hit with a one off knock out pain that floors them and needs to be dealt with urgently. Others get attacks that are severe but get breaks between attacks. Others get what you have described. I had attacks but I also had the constant pain behind my shoulder. I was told that this was caused by stones being lodged in the duct. Three years after gallbladder removal all is good

Sounds gallbladdery to me too. It's such a common thing, though as @Nutsabouttopic says, everyone is different. I was diagnosed in early 2020 and so happy because like you OP, I'd gone down the Google wormhole. Do get yourself looked at though.
