So, as the new username suggests (please MNHQ, let my name change have worked and for me not to have just outed myself 😆) I have a rather itchy rash. It has been a couple of weeks and I can't get a doctor's appointment, so in desperation I turn to the wonders of MN's amateur doctors and request help with a diagnosis.

Diagnose my rash photo, please.

That's not a rash, that's a patch of some form of dermatitis. Show your pharmacist whilst you waiting for a GP appointment. You can buy a lot more over the counter these days like cortisol creams (not recommending as not a pharmacist) but looks similar to a patch I had. Good luck!

Where is it? Is that the inside of your elbow?could be any one of,contact dermatitis, lichen planus, hives... Or even ringworm.

TheShellBeach · 19/05/2023 23:50

Where is it?
It looks like tinea to me.

ChildcarePanic · 19/05/2023 23:55

There are so many different types of rash and dermatitis that you will get dozens of different suggestions on here and will be ever more confused. I know you say you can't get an appointment but you do need to see a medical professional. How does your GP operate re booking?

Looks like ringworm to me

Thank you for your suggestions. It is my inner thigh, hence not the best photo of it.
Will call in at a pharmacy tomorrow and see if they can suggest anything.

Rashes are very difficult to diagnose, even by health professionals.
