Think it is "just a cold", but it isn't shifting -should I see the doctor?

I am coming up for 14 days with this cold sinus thingy.

I am still snotty, but that isn't a big issue. My main problem is that I keep going really light headed and my head starts pounding. I have spent the last hour wandering round just completely confused and floaty.

I feel like it is just a cold and there is sod all a doctor can do, but am wondering if I should get checked out.

Flame, are yo utaking decongestants? They can make you a bit spaced out.
If you can't see gp till Friday, might be worth visiting your pharmacist? Again, if you have already? Two weeks is too long for a cold.

I have it too. Are you coughing? I have ended up with a chest infection and sinus infection. Re sinusus - when you lean forward does it feel like the top of your head is going to explode?

Flamesparrow · 19/02/2008 14:07

I gave up on decongestants because they weren't doing a lot. I'm mainly on paracetamol now.

The parmacist by my mum is really nice, I'll go see him.

No cough apart from at bedtime. I wake up feeling like my chest is being stabbed as I breathe.

Head pretty much hurts however I move it but yup, leaning forwards is horrible

Managed to get myself an appointment for this morning... turns out I have had tonsilitis for about a week and not noticed (no throat pain)

Have antibiotics and should be feeling better soon he thinks
