Can I be reassured by normal blood tests?

Because I'm freaking out as another Mnetter has sadly found pancreatic tumours on an ultrasound.

They have the same abdominal pain as me. I've had upper abdominal pain for a few months, sometimes radiating to the right under my ribs. My appetite has dwindled too but I was on Ozempic (stopped because of side effects) so could be a hangover from that.

I also have GERD, have had it for years but it got worse on Ozempic.

The doctor ordered fit tests, faecal calprotein and CSP (I think?) and a blood test. All came back negative, blood test showed only low folate which I've been prescribed folic acid for.

I have an ultrasound in a few weeks and am besides myself with fear. I do have health anxiety. I'm 37.

To people like me who look for updates, I had a private ultrasound today and I have gallstones, nothing more serious.

Good news @UndertheHawthornTree86 !

I've seen that poor woman's thread and have been obsessively reading her posts from today. I can't comprehend how she's feeling or what she's thinking. It seams unreal that this happens to people who are so young. I can't get my head around it.

I too have health anxiety and have an appointment at the breast clinic on Monday for a tiny lump 🤞🏻 I'm ok

Sending you calming thoughts @overthinkersanonnymus , I really hope your appointment goes ok and all is well.

Did you go private for your ultrasound? I am the same, particularly after reading that poor MNetters post. The first thing I feel when I wake up is painful spots in my stomach, my ribs hurt and the pain radiates through to my back.

The doctor had a feel around 2 days ago and said she thinks h. Pylori. That was weird because I'd never heard of it until that posters thread then the doctor says I've probably got it. She said I needed bloods and despite them saying they couldn't fit me in for 3 weeks I managed to get a cancellation yesterday.

I just want to know what's going on in there, can you recommend a private clinic or a way of getting them to look properly. Thank you

Also, I know I shouldn't google, but it says I'd need a CT scan to check for tumours as opposed to ultrasound. Is that not the case?

I went to Ultrasound Direct - it was £110. She was very good and thorough and explained everything, and have photos and videos.

I think you'd need a CT for a diagnosis but an ultrasound would give some indication. She said mine looked textbook and given the amount of gallstones I had I am pretty sure that's what's going on.
