I've got the horrible, three day stomach bug that is going round (and a cold) but I could just about deal with that. But I've also got a vile, red itchy rash with it too. Every time I get sick - I made the mistake of eating food last night as I felt better and it started all over again - I am covered head to toe in patchy rash. My hands and feet are swollen and bright red, and the palms of hands and soles of feet really sore. I couldn't sleep for more than an hour at a time last night.

I thought I must be allergic to the bug, but piriton doesn't work, and even Eurax - which stops my worst eczema itching - doesen't help. What can I do?!??

And it's my birthday. Although I am cancelling it, and having it next week instead, because this is crap.

I think you need to see a doctor!!

morgansauntie · 19/02/2008 10:04

Hi I may be totally wrong so please forgive me if I am but are the symptoms similiar to the one's saltire has at the moment. Thought you might want to compare symptoms and share advice if they are.

I live with numerous helath problems and take 10 different medications a day but so far this winter I have managed to avoid these nasty bugs - now I've tempted fate. So I do know how being ill can really get you down. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Obviously that should have been health, I even preview my posts perhaps I have spellingitis!

Thankyou. I did go to the doctor yesterday; she said come back if it gets worse, so I'm taking her up on that! But she thought it was an allergic reaction...

And thanks for the link to saltire's thread, will see how we both get on
