Hi all! Literally in the emergency department as I type this as have been referred from a doctor to attend.

I’ve been having some pain on my right side (between top of hip and under rib cage) and some blood stained discharge for the last week. My periods have been regular for over 10 years now but since March have been acting funny (delayed or super early, spotting, etc).

As disgusting as it is, I’ve attached some photos of the discharge, literally from 5 minutes ago in the hospital bathroom.

Anyone experienced this before?

Update: I was brought up to a ward and given an exam. They took a swab and are sending it off. Right now the nurse thinks it’s irregular periods and is sending me to get an ultrasound during the week to see why they’re irregular suddenly.

Specific things mentioned were functional cysts and PCOS

I bled daily for nearly two years, scan revealed a suspected fibroid, bleeding calmed with medication and put into menopause for three months but I get this bloody discharge from the fibroid (not confirmed but looks like one) so could be fibroid or polyp with the pain you mention I have that too and in my pelvis though they can be located all over your uterus and press on other organs. I'm getting my tumour removed on the 30/05 finally.

They really need to give you a scan ultrasound at least, though I had to wait 6 months on one. Hope your ok and they get to the bottom of it it's easy to panic but there is so many things that could cause it.

It’s the next day and the bleeding seems to have stopped. It did this before though and came back, so not sure what to expect.

Still having pain in my right side which I was given painkillers for so just waiting on those to kick in. Feel a little bit over dramatic now the bleeding has stopped but I suppose it’s better to feel over dramatic than not get it all checked at all
