Bowel issue

Hey guys,

Around 10 months ago I had my daughter via c section and since then my bowels have been a complete mess! I can go from conspitation or diarrhea within a day.

However the diarrhea is getting worst and it's starting to burn to the point where it's painful to sit, sleep or even walk neither mind picking my LO up.

I had a partial colonoscopy and they found two polyps and said I needed to go back and do a full Colonoscopy and remove them. I did call the hospital and they said urgent referrals are between. 3-6 months and honestly I don't know how I will cope. I also bleed sometimes.

Surley two polyps wouldn't cause this issues (they confirmed I have no piles and fissure)

I have changed my diet and drinking more water but nothing is improving.

Has this happened to anyone? What was the outcome? X

That sounds awful. I’m sorry. Complain to PALS. Your symptoms are getting progressively worse and you need to be seen.

We recently complained via that route after being on nhs waiting list for 9 months for a consultant and 16 months for another service. We had both appointments booked with dates within 2 weeks of our PALS complaint.

Never ever feel like a Karen (horrid misogyny) You have every right to be treated promptly and with the utmost respect. If you aren’t then you have every right to stand up for yourself and say services are not up to scratch - loud and proud!

It's unacceptable they let me get to this point! I'm fuming my life has changed dramatically and I can't even hold my baby without trying to hold back my tears!

Sorry I missed your post where you had your appointment through. I was fuming on your behalf and posted before reading the full thread!

I am not surprised you are angry and you have every right to be. The time we have with our babies is so precious.

Good luck on the 12th 🌺

I had a colonoscopy last week after diarrhoea getting worse and a positive fit test. One small pile was found. I actually think the issue is that my lactose intolerance has got worse. Have you tried cutting out dairy/ milk?

How did it go OP?
