If you can get to a Boots their own brand Cold relief is just lemon and paracetamol (though check with pharmacist you have the right one) and gives you that warming feeling.
In the meantime have a hot ribena with some paracetamol or something?
Sympathies - you don't realise how much OTC remedies help with a cold until you can't take them

Agree with other mners but try paracetamol with a hot drink such as hot lemonade or hot vimto works just as good as lemsip

Hope you feel better soon

I cant have anything like that, am not pregnant but allergic to all over counter stuff. I find menthol crystals in hot water are good as is hot honey and lemon. 4head stuff great as well but not sure in pregnancy-best to check at pharmacy

I dont even have any paracetamol in the house!

Best get to boots in the morning! xx

Second the boots own brand thing - but it's just vitamin C and paracetamol, so doesn't do much.

But you can also put ginger in your honey and lemon, does decongest a bit... (I am b/f and have a cold, so still no decongestants!)
