Hi
I am due to have surgery on Tuesday for a double hernia and to place a mesh in to help bind me abdominal muscles together. This is what comes of having twins! I have a very slight cold, no temperature and feel okay just a tad congested. I am taking vitamin C. Do you think it will be okay to have the operation? I am in a panic as this is the only time in the next 8 months that I can arrange someone to look after 3 DS's for three weeks as have to rest afterwards! Thanks

It all depends on how you are on Tuesday. If your lungs are compromised in any way they may not go ahead with it.

Maybe you could phone them tomorrow and ask their advice?

Good luck with it. Sorry I can't be on any further help.

I doubt that it will be a problem, when you go for your admission, mention it to them, probably a doc will listen to your chest, if it sounds clear, they will go ahead, I'm sure it'll be fine, this type of thing is down to the anaethetist, if he/she wants to proceed, good luck!
