Is this normal post septoplasty (EXTREMELY DISGUSTING PHOTO WARNING)

I had a septoplasty and turbanite reduction 11 days ago, just done my daily sinus rinse as advised by the doctor and all this has come out... Is this normal/to be expected?? I feel OK barring a bit of a headache

I would let your doctor know. Perhaps put that in an airtight box so they can see it for themselves.

Most likely post surgery tissue but best to get it checked out. Obviously, if you feel worse over tonight / tomorrow - head to a&e.

I had lumps like this for about a month after. It's usually the dissolvable packing they use. I was lucky enough to work at a doctors surgery at the time, so one of the doctors assured me that it was perfectly fine. But if you are worried, then get in contact with your consultant

Thanks both! I can finally breathe now so I think it's been a good thing, it was just a bloody shock!!

I have my follow up appointment tomorrow so will double me check with my consultant but hopefully things are looking good!
