Are semolina and polenta interchangeable?

First time poster here so a bit nervous. DD is learning cookery as part of her Silver D of E (so proud) and we're trying to find healthy vegan recipes to really wow the assessors. This week's is a carrot brocoli and polenta mini quiche but obviously polenta isn't the easiest thing to get hold of. We have semolina but Google is being less than helpful as to whether we can use that instead? Please help 🫠

This is the best thing I've ever made with polenta... thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes/nigella-lawsons-vegan-lemon-polenta-cake/

@FroggoDoggos

polenta is cornmeal (not cornflour) . It’s available in every supermarket

Actually Op, somewhere round here I have a 1st Place rosette from the Spitalfields Village Show circa 2009. This was for my now renowned and critically acclaimed Leek and Cheese Tart.

So, don’t let the silly username put you off. You have been in the presence of a baking maestro tonight.

Dont know what your daughter is doing for the baking of the crust. I do two blind bakes, one with grease proof paper and beans/rice and one without.

As you were,
