I’m nearly 50.
Put on weight and have an autoimmune disease.
Yes, been a bit breathless and struggle on walks but thought it was down to autoimmune disease and being on steroids and a bad bout of Covid just before Christmas.
Didn’t feel great in March and was coughing a lot and GP arranged an emergency x ray which I had last week.
She phoned and arranged an emergency face to face appointment and was asking me lots of questions - were my ankles swollen etc, I do have massive insomnia and have had it for 9 years, I have a problem with my foot which stops me walking (waiting on an injection in my foot) and stressful job and yes I am out of breath with a fast work.
She told me there was a large shadow around my heart and it needed fairly urgent investigation - heart ultrasound and ECG booked for next week?
I’m not a smoker or a drinker.
Dad had a heart attack at 60 - 20 odd years ago and a triple by pass.
If you had had experience of this - and wouldn’t telling me yours it might reassure me!
