Re post it

I don't have the answer although dd4 and ds1 just got over chicken pox but aloe vera gel and piriton worked well.

LilOrphanAnnie · 15/02/2008 18:33

You can do, but it might fizz a bit. Best to make a past out of the bicarb and smooth that over the spots, let it dry, put oats in a popsock/tights under the running tap, and then dangle in bath, squeezing it occasionally.

WOW!

he's just been in the bath with the porriage oats and its amazing. It makes the water sooooo smooth and silky. I tied the stockings and left tehm in the bath with him. It felt so lovely and soothing I washed Ds4s skin with it like a sponge...he loved it!!

He's asleep now so fingers crossed we'll both be able to stay in bed all night tonight.

(although on the box it was porrage oats...I assume they are the same thing??)

My ears pricked up at a chicken thread LOL.

Funnily enough I put porridge oats in DS4's bath tonight as he is covered in eczema (aagh - he's got his op next week and I want him to be 100%)

Only prob was what to do with porridge filled sock afterwards,

Which ones got the pox LTH?

MehgaLegs · 15/02/2008 19:49

becaroo · 15/02/2008 19:50

ivykaty44 · 15/02/2008 19:51

I had to open this post - just to see what she was going to do to the poor chicken....

Cremolafoam · 15/02/2008 19:58

oats are marvellous i have found them very soothing for my chicken pox this week. also have found a tiny drop or two of peppermint oil aids the cooling effect.
