Go to the docs

Leave it and strap it up, what I've done (my favourite option although it hurts more now)

Leave it and not strap it up (feeling more appealing)

Go to A&E (seems extreme)

?

Go to practice nurse and ask him/her to wrap it up.

Sounds blimmin sore.

Here, have some chocolate.

Wisteria · 15/02/2008 11:33

All a nurse/doctor would od is strap it up, I'd just strap it yourself and save yourself the time/bother of going. It does need strapping though else the inury can get a lot more serious.

It does sound sore, I did the same thing but on my left hand years ago, my finger still isn't right.

Wisteria · 15/02/2008 11:35

why km?

If a practice nurse does it they'll have the right stuff (a splint or something). Otherwise you might set it wrong and end up with a narly finger.

how did you do it? I only ask because I thought I'd broken my finger when in actual fact I'd broken the bone in my hand badly and had to be put in plaster of paris from tips of fingers to elbow for a month!! I'd get it checked if i were you. Are there no minor injury units near you? Less waiting than A and E but with all the resources you'd need.
