Blood clots and bleeding with bowel movements

Hi all,

sorry for the graphic pic.

for the last few months, on and off I’ve been having blood in my stools along with a few blood clots here and there.

sometimes I’m constipated, but feel I need to go, but can’t. Other times I have to rush off and it’ll pass through no problem. I have ibs and sometimes get some mild stomach pains.

I'm only 23, so I don’t suspect anything sinister, but I’ve got 3 young children and just worried to why I’m getting bleeding and blood clots in my stool, so often.

been to the drs today and done 2 stool samples been sent off for urgent.

anyone else have any other experiences like this and what did it turn out to be?

After a lengthy wait for a colonoscopy it turnout out just to be due to constipation.
Hard scratchy stools causing the bleeding apparently. The toilet water was so full of blood you couldn’t see the bottom of the bowl. Clots, mucus the works. I thought I was going to have cancer or something for sure!
