DS1 had his MMR booster yesterday and today he has a big red raised area around the injection site. its about the size of his hand (he's 3). Is that normal?

how is he in himself?
Is the srea swollen, very hot to touch??

sugarpear · 14/02/2008 16:53

My dd had that scared life out of me as she is youngest of 6 and none of the others reacted. My hv said it was normal unless it got bigger than a ten p piece or if she was really unwell with it.

If its the size of his hand i would get him to gp just to be on the safe side.

hope his ok x

hmm, he's absolutely fine in himself, no temp or anything and he isn't saying it hurts him at all. think I'll ring the docs tomorow anyway
thanks guys

Put a cold compress on it to see if it helps take the redness out.
