Slight Wheezing - Is this due to Weight Gain?

I noticed this whilst in bed when all is quiet and I'm noticing this shrill/high-pitched sounds when I'm breathing. Also, my diaphragm feels tight sometimes. I've put on about a stone in weight over the past year. My BMI is 31, so I'm over by about 5 pts. I don't smoke, although I gave up about 10 years ago. I've become very sensitive to vaping smoke which makes me cough when I'm near people who vape (eg. on the bus, ggrrrr!)

I've had a health check when I turned 52 last year, but nothing came up that was concerning (other than my T-cells being off a little).

It might be connected to weight gain, but it sounds more like a fitness thing to me. Are you active? Do you exercise.

One goes hand in hand with the other

No, my fitness isn't that great. I'll have to get back to the gym again (I stopped going about 6 months ago).
