Can podiatrists or doctors order mri feet

I’ve been dealing with foot pain for 2 years now, podiatrist said to speak to GP as pain isn’t improving despite treatments ie insoles, ibrofen gel (spelt that wrong). I keep seeing her for reviews and initially it was just my achilles, now it’d front of foot (ball pain) which podiatrist has said sesamoid. Then dealing with horriblr ankle pain outer - right side which feels like a inner ache feeling whenever I walk. The more I walk the worse it gets. I feel hopeless. X ray previously never picked anything up when I went over it so I’m unsure. Osteopath said she seen arthritis in my feet yet podiatrist has never mentioned this!

Would it be cheeky to ask for mri or ct - can podiatrist nhs do this or even my gp? I feel fed up of no answers to why it settles on rest but then reoccurs

I would make an appointment with your GP as they will be the one who can refer you to the hospital for further tests.
