[ panic ]

Lips swelled up, soar mouth and red face. Dd1 screeming the house down.

I managed to wipe it off but her lips were getting bigger. I paniced, tried to phone my mum and dh (no answer). Anyway after 20 minutes she calmed down, put something on the tv for her to take her mind off of it and now she is eating her dinner.

Face paint now in the bin.

Do you need to get allergy tests after something like that?

Lips swelling sounds dangerous and you would want to know which component of the facepaints to avoid in the future.

Glad she si OK though

Maybe i should fish them out of the bin, i looked at the ingreadiants and there doesnt seem to much in there just lots of colouring etc.

I felt so useless as i could'nt do anything other than remove the facepaint.

Must have been very scary.
Do you have piriton in the house? I'd make an appt with gp and talk about appropriate action to take if it re-occurs. My dd reacts to facepaints with a blotchy itchy rash. Because she has had allergic reactions and rashes I always have piriton and clarityn in the house.
