How can I tell if dd 18 mo has broken a bone?

She fell on her hand and cried A LOT. Seemed to be ok, but wincing if anyone touched her hand after for an hour.

I wanted to take her to A&E, dp didn't think it needed it. Dd now asleep and seems ok, but was wincing a lot. No swelling, using it OK.

Any advice?

..you can't tell ...i broke my wrist at eleven and my mum mad e me sleep on it

I don't know..I think it will wait till tomorow as she is sleeping

with greenstick fractures it is hard tyo tell

I would say the only way you can tell for sure is to take her to A&E. Lots of smaller bones in foot/hand can be broken without obvious signs.

If she's sleeping okay, wait til morning. If she's waking up in pain, perhaps go tonight.

probably if she used it it will be ok..as they do tend to avoid if actually broken

it was put in plastyer for 6 weeks

but i was older

the fact that i had to wait just gave me a sleepless night

interestingly i have been wondering since dec 1st if i have a broken ankle...i don't know what happens if you leave it they do heal

but 12 hours imo ignorant opinion won't make any doifference so i'm sure you don't need to worry

it probably is fine

but it is hard to tell a break without an x ray and indeed with one too
