Back of knee pain really hurting

I'm in so, much pain with back of my knee it feels like it cramping and my knee clicks quite a bit. I've been up minor injuries and they said maybe cartlidge a few weeks ago and my doctor prescribed some gel to rub in but nothing helping. It hurts to walk and to get up if sitting down. I was signed off work for 2 weeks and due back next week but I won't be able to manage as I work in social care. Anyone ever had anything like this please

Look up knee excercises on YouTube but I'd see a physio of you can afford it. You will probably only need a couple of sessions,they're really good .

Knee exercises will make it worse before it gets better. Keep at them.
