David Lloyd family memberships and discounts

We're thinking about joining David Lloyd near Chester but can't find the prices... does anyone know how much 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 10) should be and do they offer any discounts? My daughter plays a lot of tennis so we'd need racquet sports as well.

Don't want to have to remortgage the house just to go to the gym though

My off peak swim only costs £800 and a bit, down South. I might be on a good deal as have been a member for ~20 years. For us it is a luxury, but it is so much nicer than our public pool. Kids are relatively cheap iirc.

I think you need to contact them direct for prices.

Every club will charge differently and they'll offer different prices at different times. Kids of that age are about £30/M each at my club, adults more than £100/M.

PP paying £800 for swim off-peak is a lot higher than we pay for anytime membership (again been members for 20years), so pricing seems completely random.

I looked into this recently, clubs are in 5 different 'levels'. Ours is the most basic. It was £107 for and adult, £188 for a couple. Children under 16 were £20 each on top.
I ended up going with Nuffield (but they don't have the tennis), which was £78 per month - but I got 50% discount with vitality life insurance.

David Lloyd do offer a small discount for NHS workers (not blue light- you actually have to work for the NHS).

My sister pays 25 for her 12 year old, and I think 60 for herself

milkysmum · 17/03/2023 07:12

I've just ended my membership with David Lloyd this February, but my membership was £167 per month for me and 2x DCs

milkysmum · 17/03/2023 07:13

This was with a corporate (NHS) discount.

TeenDivided · 17/03/2023 07:16

(Just checked for me it is 74.50 per month, 894 for the year).

At my club the kids are around £30 each a month but as some others have said I'd say speak with them directly. In terms of discounts I would have a hunt on the internet, Love Discount Vouchers is my go to and think they have David Lloyd on there

Babyroobs · 17/03/2023 11:25

According to my son's gf who works for them, they don't advertise prices as it would put people off, but once you have a tour of the facilities and see how amazing they are, you will be won over ! This is her sales pitch anyway !

My brother used to pay £25 per month for his son at our club. If you're interested, I suggest reaching out to the club directly to get the exact pricing and to see if they have any family or annual upfront payment discounts available.

Also, to save some money, you can check out the internet for any available discounts. I love using Savzz as my go-to website for shopping discounts. They sometimes have some deals for David Lloyd and other gyms on the website that you can save with.

Have you tried applying the discount voucher? It did not work for me. It just takes you to the website where you compete some details and they have to get back to you with the fees. Any idea how it works?

We pay £220 for dh and I and ds. We used to have dds on there too but they got older and never used it so we cancelled theirs.
Money so well spent for us, it’s about a mile away so very close, lovely spa and I now know when it’s going to be quiet and when to avoid as it’s busy, same with the gym. I love the spin classes and they do some good family classes too for us to do with ds. He also enjoys the football. And great for just zipping down for a swim when we fancy it. Tennis courts are good, they have quite a few of them and a some are covered in winter. Gym has just been redone and it’s all kept really spotless.
to be fair if it wasn’t so conveniently close I’m not sure I’d use it as much as I do but the fact I can go down in my lunch break for a swim/spin/gym is so handy.
