Orthodontist Recommendation - Adult Braces

Hello,

I had braces, headbrace etc for ages as a teenager to correct my teeth. Had a really lovely smile thanks to an amazing orthodontist abroad, but since having my baby I’ve noticed that my upper teeth have moved significantly (eek). Already had some crowding on my bottom teeth.

Can anyone recommend an orthodontist? I’m based in the West Midlands. Not interested in Invasalign, I want braces and judging by my teeth now I may need a head brace again!

Thanks

Not in your area so can't recommend. But, I can advise you to get a permanent wire fitted behind the teeth once they're straight as it'll stop them moving again over time. I was told I wouldn't need this (I've had traintrack twice) and I'll have it fitted in the future.

I meant to say, it's a lie that I wouldn't need it. Over decades the teeth do move again.

Google incognito braces. They're train tracks but on the back of your teeth. I had them about six years ago having also had teen braces. They're totally invisible!!

My 12 yo currently has Damon clear braces which are white brackets.

Thanks very much both for taking the time to reply; I will look into both options. My friend had the wire fitted behind her teeth and the still look great!
