is fine in himself although very interrupted sleep at night (which has been ongoing for a month or so as you all know) but what was runny poo was full on going to loo and watery stools last night/this morning.

have made the mistake of not adapting his diet until now...he has been fine in himself, although he has a mild temp on and off.

so today we've kept him at home (and a bit in garden!) lots of snuggles on sofa and BRAT (bananas/rice/apple/toast). he has had dry toast, some stewed apple and a banana in total today. i'm making some banana porridge (with water) for his supper, but was wondering about giving him a cup of miso (fresh miso in fridge) soup and dry toast too???

any advice? tia

Aren't bananas supposed to cause diahorrea? (sp). I know that either brown or unripe (but can't remember which way around it is)upset your stomach. I'm guessing it's brown bananas. When their poo is runny, I stop bananas anyway.

If he's had watery stools for more than a couple of days, I'd take him to GP just to be on the safe side.

no banana's block them up! they are a constipator.

the BRAT has worked, no more watery stools and he is feeling much better. will make sure absolutely no dairy today.

incidentally i spoke to the pharmacist who said medised was good for this as it brings temp down and also slows down the digestive system....is there no end to what medised can do?

unfortunately ds didn't want any!!!
