Endoscopy booked for Friday and I am so scared of the results. I have post viral fatigue and all blood tests clear, but I have some symptoms of stomach cancer. Loss of appetite, burping, tired all the time. Has anyone got any positive stories about this?

I could nearly guarantee you don’t have stomach cancer. Try to stay calm, you will be okay.

I’ve had same symptoms as you plus more/worse ones, endoscopy revealed nothing. Diagnosis…irritable upper gastro tract 🙄 or in other words they don’t know.

Lasted about 12 months in total. Felt scared at the time. I tried Domperidone and another drug related to processing digestion, one was better than the other but didn’t actually cure it.

Also ask around in your family as I learnt that my grandfather suffered similar symptoms, everyone dismissed it as over exaggerated indigestion, but it wasn’t. This reassures that it’s not cancer.

I have had post viral fatigue, and with it came a lot of digestive issues. It took a while to work out, but a lot of the problems were caused by food sensitivities.

Loss of appetite was definitely associated with the fatigue, I was just too tired to muster any interest in food. That has a knock on effect as your digestive system becomes sluggish and causes problems.

Don't panic, statistically it's highly unlikely to be stomach cancer but at least you'll have the tests to put your mind at ease.

Wishing you the best 💐
