Cold followed by coughing fits lasting months

Has anybody else had this this year?

We caught it either from my sister and her children (in Kent), or my daughter's teacher (in Devon). All were (are) coughing for months in spasms (not whoopy) and did not respond to antibiotics. My sister's daughter developed pneumonia after coughing for about 6 weeks.

Me, I live in Kent and caught flu just before christmas, I have had two lots of ab and I still cough really bad. (TMI alert) so bad I feel like I am going to pee myself.

We've had that up here in Newcastle. Had cold / cough since Nov (antibiotics - no help). DH has bronchiectasis (why can't he just have a cough like everyone else?)

I live in Kent and my my dp and dd all had flu over christmas. Since then my dd has had a constant cold and is as i speek still coughing. It is a horrid chesty cough too and she has a rattle in her chest but gp keeps saying we will wait another week before giving antibiotics.... (dd is 10 months)

Caught flu middle of dec. which then left me with an horrendous VIOLENT cough, I would literally be completely unable to stop.
Because of constant strain on bladder I ended up with what can only be descibed as an incontience problem. On two occasions I actually completely wet myself, thank god i was at home. I have never in my life experienced anything like it and ended up really really low. I would dread going out as changes in temp seemed to start me off.

Dont smoke so no reason for such a bad cough. Al I can say is you have my sympathy, I had this for about six weeks and then last week the coughing just stopped over the course of about two days, weird!! IT WILL GO!!

Yep, I'm another one and lots of my students have it too.
