Recovery time after endometrial laparoscopy & hysteroscopy?

Has anyone had one of these procedures recently and could advise on the recovery time after surgery please?

The surgeon thinks I’m likely to have some adhesions and some endometriosis around the bowel.

Thank you.

A couple of days

Gosh really?! I’ve read it takes a few days to get over the GA, let alone all the internal healing! Thanks for sharing!

I had a laparoscopy, first time too me 2.5 weeks as I was really uncomfortable with the gas. Second time took me a week but waited to the end of the week to drive and only if I could comfortable push the clutch pedal down x

I had just a hysteroscopy and recovered in 24 hours - but that wasn't under GA.

Had a robotic hysterectomy last year and was recovered well in 5 days, much better after a week and back in work 3 weeks later.

I probably took 6 weeks to be fully recovered to normal fitness so I guess it depends on how recovered you want and need to be before returning to everyday life?

I had laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, removal of ovarian cyst and adhesiolysis. I was pretty uncomfortable for about a week but much better by 2 weeks. I had 3 weeks off but could have gone back after 2 if I'd had to

I've had two laparoscopies, to burn away endometriosis and drill my ovaries. Both times I was almost back to full fitness after a week. The first few days are the worst with gas pains, tiredness and pain when standing up in the abdomen. Good luck.
