Chest and shoulder pain, what could cause this?

For some time now every single morning I wake up with s sore chest. When I say sore I mean it feels like it does when you have a cold, almost raw. It goes away very soon after waking, within a hour.

My right shoulder blade feels like there is a golfball in it too, it is so sore and achey. Also the right side where my bra strap goes hurts a lot, sometimes when I wake up its almost like something is trapped and absolute agony. The agony wears off but it still aches and gives me pain during the day.

Both problems being going on for months. Now I know my posture is awful so have thought it could be that. But could the 2 be related and could poor posture or muscular strain cause both? Or could this be something more serious?

Acid reflux ? I get this it's horrible do you burp atall

It could be arthritis maybe? That often feels much worse in the morning and then improves throughout the day. I've got psoriatic arthritis that affects both shoulders and the pain does radiate down my back and over my chest.

I'd go and see a doctor, but in the meantime I'd recommend getting a massage as that can loosen up tight muscles. Is your mattress putting pressure on it? Could you maybe try a mattress topper to see if that helps?

@gettingalifttothestation It could be acid but the pain near my bra strap is not acid pain its agony though. I take lanzaprole though so that keeps acid under control.

@shreddednips does your chest pain feel as though it feels when you have a chesty cold? Mine is like that. I will try a massage and see. I don’t think it is my mattress, I got a new one and its the same weeks on as it was with my old one.
