Anti-nausea treatments during period?

Every month I have a couple of days of hell with my period.

One of the things I really suffer with is nausea, just generally feeling sick and the idea of certain food/drinks makes me gag.

I wondered two things.
Firstly, does anyone have any personal cures for this? I find that mainlining chips and Pepsi works quite well but wondering about other people's DIY treatments.

Secondly, are there any actual medical treatments available for the nausea that I can take for a couple of days? Ideally over the counter, rather than needing a prescription.

Many thanks for any advice that anyone has.

You can buy Phenergan over the counter from most chemists - at least you could when I bought some last year (UK based)
