Slept in contact lenses!

It's been a very busy, sleep deprived week the night before last I slept with my contacts in by accident! I woke up at around 2:15 and took them out but they felt like they were starting to stick to my eye and I had to peel them off part of it. Very silly I know! I didn't wear any yesterday and gave my eyes a break, will I be fine to put some in today? Has anyone any experience with this? X

You’ll be fine . I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve done this ….. I mean obviously it’s not optimal but as a one off you’ll be ok

Non event. Your eyes might be a bit tireder and I wouldn’t plan to do it unless you have extended west lenses.

I've done it far too many times. I've been out, forgotten to take them out and put a new pair in on top in the morning and only realised when I have taken those ones out in the evening and still been able to see...

Get some eye drops if your eyes still feel dry but it should be fine.

If it happens again don't try and take them straight out, as your eyes will be too dry abd you could damage them. I know someone who did this and it was awful. Leave it about ten minutes so your eyes aren't dry and they should come out as normal, no peeling. Basically wait until there is no resistance when you try to take them out
