Cold Sore, best thing to get rid of them?

Got two coldsores on my top left, one of them is really painful (been unwell, and they have come from that).

Been using cream ever since I felt it coming on, but it doesn't really help me - but it does seem to take the soreness away.

What is the best thing to help it heal?

Going to be offline for a while (meant to be doing an essay now!), but I will be back later today.

Thanks

zovirax

jofeb04 have a look at these invisible patches www.compeed.co.uk/ that you put on your lip; they can be a bit tricky to put on at first, but they work well for some people because they help conceal the redness, they keep the cold sore clean and they keep you from touching it or picking it. Last time I had one, I used the patches during the day and at night at home I applied the zovirax, and it was gone in less than a week.
