DS has been vomiting on and off for 2 weeks - that's not right, is it?

DS is nearly 18 months. Two weeks ago today he was really sick, projectile, the works, couldn't even keep water down. Then he seemed to make a good recovery and was ok, (if not a bad tempered rat bag) until the Monday when he was sick again.

I took him to the doctors and they said it was either a virus or building up to chicken pox. Again, he's been ok for a week but yesterday he was really sick, (looked like a lot of mucus - sorry!) and has been again today.

It can't be right that a virus/tummy bug would go on for 2 weeks. I've made an appointment with the docs again but they can't see him until tomorrow.

The only other factor is that he's just had 4 teeth through in a couple of weeks, but could that make him so sick?

Anyone ever had anything like this?

My 18 month old has also had two weeks of on/off tummy upset - a few days of puking last week then a couple of OK days, then a few days of diarrhoea. I'm not too concened about it yet.

Sorry - that's not much help....just sympathy

it is quite common for mucus and saliva from teething to make them sick.

Wow. Teething's brutal, poor things.

Thanks for the replies.
