If so would you mind sharing your experience of the lymph biopsy (sentinel node) and any side effects ?
I'm worried about the lymphoedema risk although it will be a single node so I gather not so risky
I'd love to hear any stories x

I had a lymph biopsy and then a few lymph nodes removed when I had a lumpectomy (breast cancer). I was fine but I did religiously do all the arm exercises they give you to do.

Thanks for your reply @saveforthat I hope you've been well since.
Do you mind me asking how sore the site of the lymph removal was after and how long recovery was ?
Mine will be on groin so wondering if I'll be able to walk etc

It was very sore, recovery was a couple of weeks from memory. It will of course be different in the groin, I have no experience of that. I had a breast care nurse who explained everything about the procedure and was available anytime for questions. Have they given you a contact from the hospital team to talk to?

Yes@saveforthat my nurse contact has been fab I've asked loads of qs but not about recovery time yet, or perhaps I did but didn't take it all in...., I'll revisit that at the pre op
