Intermittent pain under eye and in eye

For about 2 weeks I have been getting intermittently pin prick sensations under my left eye (in the skin bit!). It lasts for a second or 2 at the most and then I may get another 2 attacks within the next 5 mins. I also seem to get a pin prick stingy eye as well but not at the same time as under the eye. Any idea what this can be??
