PET scan showing “hot spots”. Gotta have further scans.
The cancer is hormone driven.
mastectomy (bilateral) overies being removed, chemo & radiotherapy.

Is it as bad as it sounds?
Any one with experience?

Hi,

Firstly, I love your username. My favourite show!

Secondly, there are a lot of breast cancer ladies on the Cancer Support thread if you’d like to come on there and ask? Personally I have ovarian cancer so not able to give you specifics but lots of us have been through the surgeries, chemo and radio etc to offer support.

Thanks so much. I’ll hop across there.

And thank you, it’s one of my favourite shows too. 😃

Yes come along to the cancer support thread. I had breast cancer and had mastectomy, chemo, radio, hormone tablets, second surgery, it was a difficult year but through it now and it does end. In the meantime take it step by step and day by day and any time you get chance to do something nice do it. I was originally due to have ovaries removed but then they just did hormone tablets, 10 years of the things.

I also recommend the cancer thread. I spent a lot of time on there 3 years ago. I finished treatment in 2020 have been all clear since. It was a gruelling year but the support on that thread was fabulous.
